This project is not just about social media but most importantly it's about helping a small business.

When I first meet Amrit, he shares that he came to New Zealand starting from nothing. Motivated and hard working he manage to work his way up, becoming a chef for the past nine years to now opening his own food shop in the night market.
The shop has been running for 3 months and he admitted that he wanted to work on the social media side of things but that's not his expertise. I told him that I would help him devise a 3 post to start off in Instagram for which he agreed.
I went on Tuesday and I've shared him some of my ideas and the main thing that I wanted was tell people the shop schedule and tell Amrit story. I wanted the people to connect with him and I wanted them to be able to know where and when the shop is open as it depends on the night market.
I also scouted the market and while most of the shop have little to no social media presence, you can see those who does gets more attention, with one girl I overheard says "I see you (the shop in question) in Instagram, I've got to try". Therefore I feel that having a strong social media presence would definitely make Amrit stands out.
I tried my best to have this visual to be aesthetically pleasing while still attending to what Amrit have for his visual brand. I wanted something a template for him that he can duplicate easy and thus it's why I opted to have one striking color. This color would also make it stand out in a very saturated Instagram layout.

I've told Amrit the importance of having a good message to say. Something that people can relate to, and something inspiring. Fortunately, Amrit is both. Who doesn't love a nothing to something story from a hardworking individual who had a dream?
