The Legend of Matariki and the Six Sisters

This is a story about Matariki and her daughters who travelled across the sky to visit their grandmother. During the visit, each of them had learnt something new. The story reminds us how providing nature is and how we should respect it.

The rise of Matariki stars in New Zealand signals the Maori's new year. This year (2022), Matariki seems extra special, New Zealand decided to celebrate and made it an official holiday. Matariki itself is a celebration of our relationship with each other and the environment. Which is why, This was a very rewarding project. I love the chance to be able to tell this kind of stories because it's not just a tale, there's real life values to be learned from.
