Arriving in New Zealand almost 2 years ago, I was immediately introduced to the fact that the country is experiencing a housing crisis. A wild idea from the image of this peaceful country, I was introduced to.
When I tell people I live in the city, they make this cringe face and would say "yikes, I could never live in the city". When I ask them why, they often say that the city is just not a good area. It makes me wonder if there was something deeper, historically, and how that history has an impact today.
The visual style was inspired by collage photography. The information inside was gathered by myself. With so much input, I was finding ways to visualize it in a way that people can understand. This project has taught me so much in terms of skills and also research as well.
The story board helps me visualize the layout and the animation movement. This was important to me because collage have a lot of element to be dealt with.

Because this was an infographic sort of content, I wanted to have that journalism look to it. So I took inspiration from collage medium. I feel that it's fitting because it was about real life story, and collage also explains stories at a glance really well.
